William George Voelker (known as Bill) was the son of George William and Maria Voelker (nee Foyne). He spent his early years on his parent`s farm at Dulong in the Nambour District. The family later moved to Ormiston and enlistment he was listed as a farmer. After the war he returned to Ormiston and later became a waterside worker and cleaner. He lived at New Farm, Brisbane with Mary Ellen Donovan and they had two children together. He died on his birthday, 26 February, at the age of 62.
