Felix Culyer Robson was allotted Lot No.47 on the original Beerburrum survey map. He was 35 years of age when he enlisted and was then a clerk. He was born in London. His wife was Mrs. Eva M. Robson and her address at the time of his enlistment was C/- H.C. Stitt Esq., Sandgate Road Albion, Brisbane. Qld. Felix had previously spent 2 years in the South African Police - 2 1/2 years in I.L.Horse in South Africa and 20 months in Natal Police. He was commissioned as Lieutenant on 13th May, 1917. He embarked with the 25th Infantry Battalion on 10th August 1915. He was then transferred to the Ismalia Camel Corp. on 21st January 1916. He was again transferred to the 15 A.L.H. Regiment ist July 1918. He served in Gallipoli, Egypt, Sinai, Palestine, Syria, Cairo, El Arish and Abyssinia. During his service he was hospitalised several times. He embarked H.T. Dongola - Kantara for Australia 26th July 1919 from Egypt. Disembarked Australia 28th August 1919. What a distinguished military career this soldier had.
"Felix is my grandfather. He was in the Natal Mounted Police before the outbreak of the Boer War. However he did not serve in Europe during WW1. He sadly died of TB 1945. Yours sincerely Jocelyn"
